Challenge Yourself charm pack info

There are still a few spots left for any of you that want to partake in our Robert Kaufman Challenge!  For those of you already signed up to participate here is the link to the charm pack you will each be receiving (courtesy of Robert Kaufman Fabrics).

For the exact break down of which solid fabrics are included in the 43 little 5″ x 5″ squares (charms) click HERE.
Remember to look around your home for your architectural inspiration!  Don’t get discouraged because the fabrics are really bright!  This is a great opportunity to use your imagination and reinterpret something in your home that you would have never imagined would be inspiration for your next quilt!

Challenge details:
– To participate: Comment on this post and tell me you want in!
– Each participant will be given a Robert Kaufman charm pack . (shown above)
– Challenge begins now and will end at our February 2nd meeting where we will share our quilts (quilt tops are okay, too) and I will take pictures to submit to Robert Kaufman Fabrics’ blog!
Find an architectural, building or other construction element in your home- it could be the wallpaper, roof, AC vents, floor tiles, cabinetry, etc.  and use it as inspiration for your new quilt design. You can choose to reinterpret the design or try to recreate it. There is no minimum or maximum size measurement for the quilt.  You may need to add your own fabric to complete your design idea but remember the focus should be on the charms! You can cut them up any way you want…..applique them on…. embellish them …turn them on point… add sashing… etc.  Think outside of the box!

See you at Wednesday’s meeting! Meeting time & location can be found HERE.
