At this week’s meeting let’s get together with some fabric and batting scraps and make our guild name tags! Some of you have been requesting this for a while and you’re right! It is about time we made some cute & fun name tags to wear at our monthly meetings.
There are no real rules so feel free to be as creative as you want with your name tag. Let’s keep the measurements somewhere between 3.5″ x 5.5″ – 4.5″ x 6.5″. You can choose to make it a necklace or pin name tag, etc.
Just bring the following:
– fabric scraps
– batting scraps
– embellishments of your choice (buttons, ribbon, paint, trims, beads, etc. )
– safety pin or ribbon/yarn or other method of wearing your finished tag
I’ll bring a black micron pen (permanent on fabric) for you to write your names on the finished tags or you can get creative and do your own thing.
Can’t wait to see what we all come up with! If you don’t know what to make… here is some inspiration I found on the web. Hope these get your creative juices flowing! Aren’t they cute?!
If you missed last month’s meeting here are some pics! See you on Wednesday night, 7pm at Milhopper Library- Meeting Room A.
Remember to bring stuff for show-n-tell! We love to see what everyone is working on. It’s an unfinished project?…. bring it anyway!
