June meeting & May recap

This week’s meeting will be on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at 7:00pm at the Milhopper Branch Library- Meeting Room A.

If you missed the Tree City Quilt Show last month here’s a quick recap of quilts submitted by members of our guild. Be sure to congratulate Lora when you see her! She walked away with a 2nd Place ribbon for her gorgeous “Winter Palace” quilt (see pic below).

Our summer meetings are usually a little more laid back since a lot of us are traveling or have family/friends in town. So, at this week’s meeting let’s keep it simple: show-n-tell and sit-n-sew.

•Bring whatever projects your are working on or have finished to share with us.
• Bring your sewing machine and supplies and catch up on some quilty work.

A few of us also participated in the UFO swap from last month so be sure to bring your completed projects to trade back with your partner this week. Can’t wait to see what you made!

If you are interested in teaching the guild a workshop please let Vanessa know so we can work out the details. We are always looking for people to teach workshops, have trunk shows, or just share a different technique with the group. If you’re interested you can email me Vanessa at: craftygemini(at)gmail(dot)com.

Here are some pics from last month’s meeting in case you missed out.

Thanks again, Eileen! We really enjoyed your demo of the Hex-N-More ruler.

Pillow Eileen made using the Hex-N-More ruler.

See you Wednesday!
